Free Website Templates
Download free web site templates specifically designed for artists and craftspeople. Each set includes an index, thumb gallery, image enlargement, biography, and contact page. All pages are easily duplicated so you can have as many as you need.
Our templates are fully customizable and easy to use. You will need to know how to upload files to a server and you should have a basic understanding of html. It's okay if you don't fully understand html, all you have to do is go over each document and replace the text that's in ALL CAPS with your own text, then insert your image tags into the code. You can customize the colors, font, borders, etc. in the style.css file.
After you download your templates and edit them you will need to upload them to your server. You can use a free server like GeoCities or Homestead to test your site, but if you are serious about selling your art you need to pay for professional hosting. You should expect to pay around $2.50 - $10.00 per month for simple hosting. Here is a link to Web Host Reviews in the Google directory. You can also ask in your favorite forum, or try contacting some of your favorite artists and ask them where their sites are hosted.
To accept secure credit card payments use PayPal or a similar service. It's free to sign up, and easy to add simple buy buttons to your site, you can even set up a shopping cart, and send invoices by email.
