Slipping Away
by David W. Miller

Every day it seems like my life slips a little farther away.

Seems like there's no stopping it, it slips away but goes no where.

Where will I go? Does anyone know? Does anyone care?

I'm sliding toward a dark infinity and can't seem to stop.

Is there anyone there?

Does no one care?

And as my life winks out I'll be asking,
after all the help I tried to give,
when I needed it why would no one help me?

But then I remember...they don't care.
