The Man I Love
Short Story
by Yvonne R. Davis
The man I love is gentle. His sensitivity is soft and only
known to his woman. His way tells the story of a man in love with a woman
who matches his spirit and youth. The man I love respects his past, but
lives in the present. He is awakened to a new future.
The man I love honors his woman. Putting her on a pedestal. She is a
goddess to him. In his humility, he exalts her, helping her to rise to a
full awareness of who she, a woman is.
The man I love celebrates the love of his woman. His affections runs so
deep, at times alone he cries never imagining he could have ever fallen
into this bottomless emotion. He is enriched from the firmament of his
woman.
The man I love excites and rests in the cradle of his woman. He rises
to the occasion first pleasing the wishes of his woman, before pleasing
himself. He never averts her gaze.
The man I love knows the chamber for which he makes love to his woman
is sacred. A wholly ground for completion. He knows this moment is for
fulfillment of the seven senses. He celebrates the temple of his woman
by building an altar of affection.
The man I love is not complete unless he forever is with his woman.
Living in truth, the world bows because the man I love knows love from
loving his woman.
