A Moment in Time
Randy Lane
Light reflects through a drop of dew as it dances upon a leaf
while the sun whispers a good morning for all the world to see.
The clouds swirl and sway like small children playing tag your it
while shadows linger on the grass changing as they pass overhead.
Reflections of my life seem to be caught in a moment of time
recalling how innocent now ever fleeing from my mind.
Hopeful of redemption from the past as the Earth begins to stir
one final gaze I'll take before I plunge into the waters of daily life.
