For the Love of my Life
Poem
by Kooll
You are a resplendent poem unspoken
That walks in beauty like the night of starry skies
You're astounding enough to leave tongues broken
Clad in divinity using beauty as your disguise
You're a soothering dream in a hallowed place
And an unescaping ribbon of colours over a purple moon
Heaven blessed you with its finest grace
Like the softest melodies that often plays in tune
Your love runs deeper than the whispering of lovers sleeping tight
And it shivers me like the trembling heart of a captive bird
It's the kind of love that is impossible to indite
Like a maudlin song I've never heard
Your cloud-soft wind-blowing hair is moist with fragrant mist
And your dark-flavoured skin is undisturbed like a distant land
Exuberance paints your eyes with a candid colourful bliss
That windowed your soul with beauty measureless to man
It's the utmost understatement to compare you to a summer day
When your features shimmer long after the sun
Moonlight kisses can be blurring like a summer's grey
So I guess your recitation will be left undone
So as long as creatures have air to breathe
And the waves of the oceans bathe the shores
We'll follow the path that the heavens lead
And you'll stay mine and I'll stay yours
