A Demon on the Prowl
Poem
by Ronald Dailey

I am a deadly darkened demon
they call me DDD
I come from the depths
called reality.

It doesn't matter when
it doesn't matter who
but through the darkened consequence
I shall come for you.

I don't even care
if you are strong or weak
the reason I exist
is for the souls I seek.

Yes I am the deadly darkened demon
they call me DDD
and through these spoken words
I reap my specialty.

So you best beware
be it young or old
for when you gasp for breath
it may be your life I hold.

For those who grieve to listen
do not fret or fear
for when the moment comes
I shall reappear.

Forever the darkened demon
or so I've been told
visualized deception
with a heart so cold.

So when you lay to sleep
for your final rest
simplicity in stating
I hope you passed the test.
