When it Truly Sucks
by Gratian Summerland

Holidays. Alone again.
Nothing can take away the pain of lonliness.
But I have my distractions.
I can shop like a fiend.
And I can smoke and I can drink.
And I have drugs to help me pretend...but

What I wonder is -- what it must be like...
for those that are truly alone.
Those that cannot shop or smoke.
Those that have no alcohol.
And those that don't do drugs.
Now that must truly suck.
